AGM2026

S&S Association Annual Meeting 2026

Poole, UK, Friday 4th to Sunday 6th September

This year the UK will host the weekend at the Royal National Lifeboat Institution College rnli.org/rnli-college in Poole on the English Channel, over the weekend of September 4-6th. This offers us a unique opportunity to share the incredible work undertaken by the RNLI with our S&S friends while enjoying Poole Harbour and the surrounding area. As if the attraction of the RNLI was not enough a number of other factors informed our decision.

1. The RNLI College is able to provide accommodation on-site which means we have lots of opportunity for ad-hoc running into each other for chats and drinks.
2. The College is a 10 minute walk from the marina where our boats will be moored, so it’s an easy wander down for any water-based activities or boat-based socialising.
3. Poole is an extremely convenient location for those travelling from abroad or from distant parts of the UK as it has excellent rail connections.
4. Poole has much to offer for hanging about and enjoying land-based activities should the weather let us down or you would prefer not to go for a sail - www.pooletourism.com

With regard to boats we are currently holding a number of places at Poole Quay Boat Haven - https://www.poolequayboathaven.co.uk. George Beevor will be our contact regarding allocation of moorings and our water-based activity (weather permitting). For the next step to book your berth see “What Next?” below.
