Thanks to careful research and planning by Mike & Louise France and Karen Blake we had a fabulous weekend to wrap up the sailing year. Most members arrived Friday afternoon and took part in a very interesting tour of the impressive RNLI College including a tour in the lifeboat simulator where we managed to rescue several survivors after a collision between an oil tanker and a smaller commercial vessel. We were exposed to a very rough sea and limited visibility and some of us were a bit dizzy and unstable on our feet after the experience.
