HELIOPOLIS- Sagitta 35
Heliopolis, originally named Søhesten, spent her life racing and cruising the Baltic and the Norwegian Sea. Tracks and fixes on the boat’s charts indicate that she cruised up to Magerøya. The boat was purchased by Shady Maurice, a British engineer and sailor, in the summer of 2024. She was rechristened Heliopolis after the city of the sun god Ra.As of winter 2024, Heliopolis is being refitted and upgraded in Holland; with the aim of preparing her for long offshore races and cruises; and ultimately to participate in the Fastnet 2027 race.
