Nautor Swan built Swan 37 Martha in 1972, hull number 042. The boat was shipped directly to England, Cornwall, to its first owner. The yacht was named "Cornish Chough" after Cornwall's national bird and was registered in Falmouth Harbour on May 23, 1972, with register number 342545.
After 40 years and thousands of miles of sailing, s/y Cornish Chough found her way back to Finland and began her new life as s/y Martha. Over the past 15 years, Martha has been refitted and sailed in the Baltic Sea. She has proven her Sparkman & Stephens pedigree in cruising and racing circuits in all weather conditions.
