SHE 36 - DRAMMER III
#2166-C1 - SHE36 - DRAMMER III
Located in the Eastern Caribbean, 'Drammer III' is a legendary Sparkman & Stephens SHE 36, proven as a comfortable and capable long-distance cruiser. This is a rare opportunity to own a seaworthy classic with a distinguished cruising pedigree. She recently completed a successful east-to-west solo crossing of the Atlantic, a testament to her capabilities and robust build, making her the ideal choice for an aspiring singlehanded sailor or a couple looking to take on blue-water passages.
This vessel has been well maintained and upgraded for serious voyaging. Recent improvements include full osmosis treatment (cut back to fiber and primed with five layers of epoxy/gel shield), and installation of new hoses and through hull fitting. Additional upgrades since 2023 include 350w of Solar, as well as new VHF, Chart Plotter, EPIRB and em-trak B900 series AIS Transponder.
She also got a new Raymarine Autopilot drive unit before departing Europe, to complement Sailomat Windvane system, which handled most of helming on the recent Atlantic crossing. The boat comes with a full suit of sails by Hood, including roller furling Genoa, Genoa 3 and Working Jib, two Spinnakers and storm sails.
The interior is designed for practicality on long voyages with extensive storage throughout, including six lockers behind the saloon berths, three under the aft pilot berth, two hanging lockers, a wet locker, and additional drawers, shelving, and bookcases. The galley is equipped with a Force 10 3-burner stove and an Isotherm fridge unit replaced in 2023.
